Get Oriented With Network Marketing Scams
Know Before You Take A Go
There are plenty of network marketing scams, but they are not difficult to avoid them only if you are knowledgeable about them. There are lots of MLM (multilevel marketing) or good network marketing opportunities, but don’t just go for the first MLM that you see. It is up to you to discern if it is a scam or not. Here are 10 things that you need to consider before joining a network marketing business:
1. Know the network first. Don’t just join any MLM wherein there’s no product or service offered then you are obliged to pay for a specific amount in order for you to have a place in the matrix. This is a pyramid scheme and it is illegal in some countries.
2. When a certain company asks for you to pay an excessive amount of money for product samples and marketing materials that you are not going to use, this could be an effort by the company to run around the laws of pyramid schemes.
3. Stay away from programs that promise you’ll receive money without doing any work. There are some plans that you can acquire money from the people that has been put by you uplines under you, but a legal scheme would always require you to do something or earn the money by hard work by supporting those people placed under you. Nearly everyone who joined a network marketing program disappear in the initial 3 months without sponsoring anybody, to be able to make money from your downline you have to continuously replace the dropouts.
4. Find out more about the company by researching. You have to know if it is well established or it just recently started. If it were a new start up then it would be a good opportunity for you, but be sure to check who manages the company and what they have been involved in the past. New MLM companies are very profitable if they become well known and if you are near the top, but the downside here is there is also a risk that they will fail.
5. Miracle products are flourishing theses days and you shouldn’t get involved with networks that sell these products. Especially when the results are very unrealistic and so good to be true. Remember, there may be a hundred others who didn’t have the same result compared to a few people who testified that the product works.
6. Given that the product is good, do your local drugstore or any store sell something similar to the ingredients used in their product? And if they do have something similar, what makes their product different from the product sold locally? And if the stores don’t sell a similar product, ask the question why? Is it a legitimate business? Is the product legal to sell?
7. Test the product. You have to try it before you sell it, right? If you won’t be able to try it, then interview people who have used it. This will enable you to have a perspective on how the product works, in turn you’ll have more confidence in promoting and selling the product knowing that you know the product well.
8. Companies would surely show you testimonials from other people who are already making lots of money with the program. Bear in mind that, these members might have been working for the network for years already and they may be close to the top of the network with thousands of contacts. Understand that it would take a lot of hard work and a few years to be able to reach their level.
Too Good Is Not Good
Those are just a handful of tips before joining any network. This will help you distinguish scams from legal one. The bottom line here is, if the company offers you something that is so good to be true, and then may be it really is. Be wise and discern which is true and not.
