Tale of the Rocking Horse Gift Set

August 27th, 2008 · No Comments

When a newborn baby enters the world, meaningful gifts await.  The rocking horse has been a well received
gift since the 17th century, when Socrates is rumored to have played
with them.  Although rocking horses
aren’t manufactured widely as they once were, many gift companies strive to
keep their tradition alive.  There exists
a unique story or tale behind each rocking horse gift set.

When a newborn baby enters the world, meaningful , we love them forever.

Garden Shopping Online

June 23rd, 2008 · No Comments

I’m going to buy a shed outright. No mortgage, no loan, no stamp duty, no worries. It’s going to be my shed and my space and I’m going to defend it with the dexterity of NATO. Because I need space. A shed kind of space.

Don’t ask me what I’m going to put in it. Maybe nothing but a table and chair. Maybe stock pile it with dehydrated ‘value’ food and ‘value’ tins of food from the supermarket and stay in it for about 5 years like some existential Robinson Crusoe.

Dedicated to My Father, My Husband, and My God

My father was a First Sergeant in the Marine Corps, serving in the Vietnam War. He came home with wounds and purple hearts to show for it.

I was born during that time in November of 1967. He was there a few days after I was born but had to return to Vietnam shortly after. He may have come home another time when I was very little, but I don’t remember. I remember seeing him for the first time when I was about five years old.
